This procedure will allow for the accelerated review of certain trademark applications and petitions. The initiative is part of the <strong>BRPTO\u2019s 2025 Action Plan<\/strong>, which aims to foster innovation, drive economic growth, and modernize the Brazilian industrial property system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Requests can be submitted by the trademark holder or a legally authorized representative. Applicants must complete a specific form, provide supporting documentation, and, in some cases, pay a fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who can apply for the Fast-Track Trademark Examination:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Legal Priority (free of charge):<\/strong><br>\u2013 Individuals aged 60 or older<br>\u2013 Persons with disabilities or severe illnesses<br>\u2013 Companies registered under the Inova Simples framework<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Strategic Priority (fee of BRL 890.00):<\/strong><br>\u2013 Applicants who have filed oppositions based on prior rights<br>\u2013 Cases involving public funding or judicial proceedings<br>\u2013 Products\/services related to patents under fast-track examination<br>\u2013 Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institutions (STIs) and beneficiaries under BRPTO Technical Cooperation Agreements (TCAs)<br>\u2013 Cases of public interest or national emergency<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your company qualifies for the Fast-Track procedure or if you need guidance on how to apply, the ClarkeModet Brazil team is ready to support you throughout the entire process \u2014 with safety and efficiency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BRPTO) has announced that, beginning on August 7, 2025, a new service called the Fast-Track Trademark Examination will be available.
